Hostinger promo code

How a Hostinger promotion is actually structured

A Hostinger promotion is not a discount stored against your account. It is a price rule attached to a plan and a billing term, triggered either by a code in the discount field or by a link that carries the same instruction. That distinction matters: the promotion belongs to the order you are about to place, not to you as a customer.

Because the rule is tied to the term you select, the same promotion produces different totals in different carts. A 48 month term and a 12 month term of the same plan are two different priced products as far as the promotion engine is concerned, which is why one page cannot honestly quote a single number.

Once the order is placed, the promotion has done its job. Nothing carries forward. The account renews at Hostinger's standard rate for whatever plan and term you hold, which is the single most common surprise people report to us.

How to tell a real promotion from a manufactured one

Most of the noise around Hostinger promo codes comes from pages that invent scarcity rather than report pricing. A few signals separate the two, and they are easy to check yourself before trusting any page, including this one.

  • A real promotion survives a cart test. Open checkout, select the exact plan and term quoted, and compare the total. If the page cannot survive that test, nothing else about it matters.
  • A real promotion has a dated claim. Pages that say 'updated today' on every visit are printing the current date, not re-checking the offer.
  • A real promotion states what it excludes. Renewals, add-ons, domain registration and taxes are usually outside the discount, and honest pages say so.
  • A countdown timer that resets when you reload is a design element, not an expiry. Hostinger's own campaign windows are not synchronised to your browser session.
  • Codes with names that read like tracking strings are common and legitimate. Codes presented as leaked, staff-only or exclusive-to-us are usually neither.

Currency, tax and why your total may differ

Hostinger prices regionally. The figures on this site are US dollar list and promotional prices, and your cart may show a different currency with a different local list price behind it. The percentage discount is usually comparable, but the absolute saving is not.

Local consumption tax is added after the discount, not before, so the promotional price you see quoted is a pre-tax figure. In markets with high VAT this can move the final total noticeably without anything being wrong with the promotion.

If the currency in your cart is not the one you want to be billed in, change it before applying anything. Switching currency after a promotion is applied can reset the cart in some flows and cost you the discount you just secured.
